How can I be sure the hat will fit?

Both the kids and adult flap hats have fully adjustable velcro backs which means they will fit even the biggest of melons! If you want to be sure though, grab a piece of string and wrap it around your head and then measure it. The adult flap hats will fit a head between 53 - 61 cm circumference and the kid size flap hats will fit a head from 46 cm - 54 cm head circumference. The baby hat will fit on most 6 month olds and up from there.

Our new bucket hats are available in 2 sizes - 54cm circumference for kids and 60cm circumference for adults - both have 6cm brims for sun protection.

Are your hats tested for their sun protective factor?

Here at Get Flapped we don't only think about designing funky hats but we also want them to be practical as well. That is why we have had our hats laboratory tested with the Australian Radiation and Nuclear Safety Agency (ARPANSA) for their Ultra Violet Protection Factor (UPF).

Our hats have passed with flying colours receiving the highest rating possible of UPF50+. This means that when you Get Flapped this summer, you will look the goods and have the safest neck, face and ears possible.

What is the estimated delivery time for a flap hat?

We offer regular shipping Australia wide which will take 2-10 business days to get your hat depending on where you are located, or if you need your flappy sooner an EXPRESS service for free when you spend over $100 or for only a little extra (2-4 business days to most locations in Oz) to get your mug in it as soon as you can.  Our rates are for a maximum of 3kg (which is heaps of hats!).  If you have a bulk enquiry, please contact us for prices before ordering.

If you are international don't despair, we will ship anywhere in the world and it will take approximately 8-10 days depending on where you are for max 2kg order.

How long is the flap on the hat?

We have test run a number of different designs and feel we have settled on the optimum length to get great sun protection firstly but also functionality from the product. The Adult hat has a flap length of 20cm and the kids hat has a flap length of 16cm.

We love your flap hats but can you do custom designs?

At this stage we have the scope to print anything you can imagine on a flap hat and we are more than open to partnering with schools, sporting clubs, groups of mates and more. Minimum order constraints may cause an issue for small groups but we are committed to finding a solution with you to protect your neck in your own way so get in touch via the 'Contact Us' page.

Are there discounts on bulk buys?

Yes of course! We are reasonable people here at Get Flapped. Send us your query through the 'Contact Us' page and we can start that conversation for sure.

Is it possible to get the 'Seaside' kids hat in an adult size or the Chevy in a kids?

No, unfortunately not at this stage. We wanted to make a few hats exclusive for our little clients, 'Seaside' we think is one of those. Similarly Chevy is adults only. However, drop us a line through the 'Contact Us' page as if you are interested in a large order, or if we get enough interest for it then we can definitely make it happen. 

What is your returns policy if I am not happy with my hats?

Under consumer law we are only required to accept returns if a product is faulty or doesn't do what it's supposed to do and not if you simply change your mind or have ordered the wrong size.  However, if you're not 100% happy flappy with your hat, head to the 'Contact Us' page to send us an email.  We will organise a replacement or refund as long as the flap hat is still in its original condition with swing tags & packaging (as you received it).  We will charge for the original shipping cost to send the hat to you and refund the difference via the same method you paid.  Or you can request an exchange and we will only charge to send the new hat to you.  Return shipping is at your cost unless the hat is faulty, in which case we will refund or replace at our cost.  Our warranty period is valid for 30 days after purchase and only covers manufacturing faults to the hat/s.
